Looking to upgrade your 297x U Joints? the Super Joint is 90% stronger than OEM joints. How's that, you ask? Well, first off, the trunnion size is increased, offering a 72% strength increase. What's more, the Super Joint eliminates needle bearings which crush and disintegrate during extreme use. By foregoing the needle bearings the Super Joint eliminates needle-bearing lock up, which typically destroys axles and U-joints by rotating the snap rings and caps out of place.

But don't be fooled, the strength doesn't stop there. Taking it to the next level, the Super Joint utilizes 4340 Chromoly forged material, which offers an additional 25% strength increase (based on OEM joints).

Of course, there are your ionically bonded coatings, as well. This specialized coating eliminates the need for bearings or brushings, and for periodic rebuilding, as compared to other after market U-joints.

We should mention the high temp copper and graphite EP compound (the finely divided soft metals and solid lubricant which make sure to prevent metal-to-metal contact under 200,000 psi loads, and will not break down in temps up to 2000 deg Farenheit). This compound also creates a hardened copper bushing between the cap and trunnion substrates. Quality like this is hard to find. And, hey, did we mention the full circle snap rings which prevent the caps from working out of the axle cups? Didn't think so.
