 With the price of used Jeep TJ's coming down substantially, many wannabe TJ drivers are finally able to afford their dreams. Of course a large part of buying a Jeep is the ability to get out and enjoy the back country. The only problem is most city driven TJ's commonly are running small tires and after 7-10 years of usage the stock suspension is generally quite sagged. So, what to do? Put on a lift kit of course! Keeping within the budget truck purchase would be a basic lift kit and the ability to fit 32" or 33" tires without having to do too many modifications, such as a slip yoke eliminator and CV rear driveshaft.

NSOR Toyota FJ Cruiser
 Here at NSOR we have always been big fans of Toyota 4x4's. When the FJ Cruiser came on the market it looked like it would be an ideal multi-use vehicle and one of our shop owners quickly snapped one up. And as you'd expect, we immediately started thinking about how to build it up. Our first instinct was to throw on a six-inch lift to fit 35-inch tires but calmer heads soon prevailed. This was, after all, supposed to be a daily driver that was expected to fulfill a multi-use role. Besides taking the kids to soccer practice, it also had to make trips to the ski hill and reliably make long trips to a back country cabin over rough logging roads.

BDS Suspension Helps Build a Search and Rescue Vehicle
 The members of the NSR, or North Shore Rescue, are a busy bunch. North Vancouver's mountains are one of the most popular places in all of B.C. for outdoor and extreme sports. With such varying terrain and any number of circumstances that the NSR will be called upon to perform, they require specialty vehicles of many different varieties. With the NSR taking ownership of a brand spankin' new Ford F-350 Super Duty, we looked in on North Shore Off-Road who was given the task of building the new truck, to see what modifications go into building a Search and Rescue vehicle.
